Carnegie Mellon Tartans

About Us

We are a member of the Central Collegiate Lacrosse Association (CCLA) and compete with universities around our region. The CCLA is a subdivision of the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) which follows all rules set forth by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

We are led by head coach Andrew Dickson, who has been with us since Fall 2007. He is assisted by Robert Heaps. Andrew was a member of his college’s lacrosse team while Rob joins us after coaching at the University of Pittsburgh.

In the fall we have practices two to three times a week and end with a fall tournament. In the Spring we host and travel to at least 8 games during the months of March and April. There will be about 2 games per week with 1 or two practices in between.

Practices and games will be held on the new IM turf field completed in the summer of 2010.
